BRYAN
CRAIG
Director, Family Ministries
A native of Adelaide, South Australia, Bryan was married to Maaike
Wynstra in 1966. They have two sons, Benton (born 1969) and Justin
(born 1972).
Since
his career in ministry began in 1967, Bryan has served as a pastor/evangelist,
as a conference youth director, and as the SPD family ministries
director since 1985. From 1990 until 1995 he was also director of
the Department of Church Ministries for SPD. He is a trained marriage
and family therapist and has several professional affiliations:
Clinical member, Australian Association of Marriage & Family
Counselors; Clinical member, NSW Family Therapy Association; Member,
Marriage Educator's Association of Australia.
Bryan received a B.A. in Theology from Avondale College in 1966,
earned an M.Sc. in Individual, Marriage and Family Therapy from
Loma Linda University in 1984 and is currently in the final process
of completing his D.Min at Fuller Theological Seminary.
Among his areas of specialization are: leadership training in family
ministry and small group dynamics, developing resource materials
for family ministry leadership, and dealing with issues related
to adolescent development and parent-teen relationships. He enjoys
talking with young adults and lecturing at the tertiary level. Bryan
conducts marriage enrichment seminars as well as workshops on marriage,
parenting, relationship education, creative worship, developing
leadership potential and bringing about change. In addition, he
does marriage and family counseling and teaches counseling skills
to pastors and lay leaders.

has authored, co-authored and/or edited a number of family ministries

His major interests and hobbies include reading, traveling, walking,
sports (especially cricket, tennis, F1 Motor racing), political
affairs. Bryan also considers himself as a reluctant gardener but
loves dark chocolate!
